Recitals at Rosedale are back! After an inaugural season that transported audiences from The Seven Virtues to The Seven Deadly Sins, artistic directors Rachel Andrist and Monica Whicher are thrilled to announce the 2014/15 season. Beginning November 9th with “A Walk on the Dark Side: Myths, Legends and Fairy Tales”, Recitals at Rosedale presents Leslie Ann Bradley, Allyson McHardy and Geoff Sirett. Next up is “Serenades...Forgotten and Found” with Gillian Keith, Michèle Bogdanowicz and Charles Sy on March 8th, 2015. These talented, young Canadians will present ‘Forgotten’ works from Debussy’s Vasnier songbook and a ‘Found’ world premiere song cycle by Elizabeth Raum, among others. Finally, “Wanderlust...There and Back Again” will close the season on May the 3rd with Lucia Cesaroni, Emily D'Angelo and Anthony Cleverton. Think, “journeys, travels and returning home” as imagined by Schumann and other masters of Lied. All concerts begin at 2:30 p.m. at Rosedale Presbyterian Church, 129 Mount Pleasant Road. Subscriptions are available at $100 for the series, $80 for Rosedale parishioners and COC subscribers and $50 for students. Tickets at the door are $35 and $20 for students. Email for tickets or call 416-921-1931. And don't forget to hear us close this first season with a bang on May 25. Come and hear Ambur Braid, Lindsay Barrett, Michael Colvin and Robert Gleadow sing songs about sin!
