NEW SEASON 2014-15 AT ROSEDALE!

Recitals at Rosedale are back! After an inaugural season that transported audiences from The Seven Virtues to The Seven Deadly Sins, artistic directors Rachel Andrist and Monica Whicher are thrilled to announce the 2014/15 season. Beginning November 9th with “A Walk on the Dark Side: Myths, Legends and Fairy Tales”, Recitals at Rosedale presents Leslie Ann Bradley, Allyson McHardy and Geoff Sirett. Next up is “Serenades...Forgotten and Found” with Gillian Keith, Michèle Bogdanowicz and Charles Sy on March 8th, 2015. These talented, young Canadians will present ‘Forgotten’ works from Debussy’s Vasnier songbook and a ‘Found’ world premiere song cycle by Elizabeth Raum, among others. Finally, “Wanderlust...There and Back Again” will close the season on May the 3rd with Lucia Cesaroni, Emily D'Angelo and Anthony Cleverton. Think, “journeys, travels and returning home” as imagined by Schumann and other masters of Lied. All concerts begin at 2:30 p.m. at Rosedale Presbyterian Church, 129 Mount Pleasant Road. Subscriptions are available at $100 for the series, $80 for Rosedale parishioners and COC subscribers and $50 for students. Tickets at the door are $35 and $20 for students. THE SEVEN VICES

The Seven Vices will feature sopranos Ambur Braid and Lindsay Barrett, tenor Michael Colvin and bass baritone Robert Gleadow in a programme of songs about sin. Works by Schubert, Poulenc, Ibert, Rossini and Mahler among others and featuring a new arrangement from Peter Tiefenbach.
